Butterfly Basics

Hello stampers,
Hoping y'all had a good weekend! I've had a very lazy past few days due to the wind causing some wonderful migraines. UGH! My husband & I have also figured out that our house has got to be trying to kill us, we've been sick more these past 3 months of 2015 than we have been in a very LONG time. So it's time to do some very deep cleaning, just as soon as he's done with all this weekend work he's been busy with. I can't wait to be able to open some windows & let the breeze air out this house from the winter blues either!
Today's card uses the Butterflies Thinlets that are currently on backorder, SIGH! For the base, Sahara Sand Card Stock was used, followed by another layer of Blackberry Bliss Card Stock. On the Whisper White Card Stock layer, the sentiment from Lotus Blossoms Stamp Set was stamped in Blackberry Bliss Ink in the bottom right corner. Next we added a piece of Something Borrowed DSP, along with a strand of Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim & Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon which was then knotted. On a scrap piece of paper the butterfly from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set was stamped in Sahara Sand Ink & cut out using the Butterflies Thinlets. The same thinlets were used to cut out the Blackberry Bliss butterfly as well using what I call the dryer sheet technique so that you don't have to punch out the little scraps from the die or the cut piece. Easy Peasy! I can easily see this as a card for a wedding, changing the colors to their color theme.

~Enjoy
