Going old school with 2 challenges

OMG, Monday was such a beautiful day out weather wise, 70-80's humidity free with the night getting into the 60s. Now if it would stay this way I may enjoy living in TX more than I actually do, I know wishful thinking. But I will take what I can get for now!

Yesterday I tried working on the Curtain Call Challenge, which has got me stumped for the moment. So I moved on to a few other challenges for now & hopefully will come back to that one before time is up. Today I decided I was going to test the water on 2 challenge blogs I haven't used before- the sketch is from Techno Stamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch and the colors come from Picture Perfect Creations. I am also going to try to do more explanation of my card like I've seen done on other blogs, so let me know if you like that better or if I should go back to the way I was doing it. For today's card I'm going old school with the set, it was one of my favorite stamps, although I haven't treated it that way since it retired. I hope you like it!

Directions:

  1. Create a More Mustard card 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
  2. Cut a piece of Pear Pizazz 3 1/2" x 4 3/4", stamp with leaves in Pear Pizazz . Then run through Big Shot with your Square Lattice embossing folder.
  3. Cut a piece of Whisper White 2 5/8" x 2 3/16". Stamp stalk in More Mustard then roll the edges of the stamp in Cajun Craze three times. Sponge with Pear Pizazz. Adhere Whisper White to Cajun Craze 2 7/8" x 2 5/16".
  4. Cut 2 pieces of Cajun Craze 3 1/2" x 3/4". Adhere about 4" of More Mustard ribbon to each piece of Cajun Craze.
  5. Assemble as shown. I did use dimensionals on back of the stalk part to fit better over the cardstock with ribbon on it.
Supplies:
Sets: Petal Prints (retired)
Ink/Markers: More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Pear Pizazz
Paper: More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Pear Pizazz
Other: More Mustard ribbon (retired), Square Lattice embossing folder, dimensionals
Technique: Rock 'n' Roll
