VC Rocks June Blog Hop

Hello stampers,
Happy Saturday y'all! It's a bit weird putting out a post on the weekend, but this weekend is VC Rocks June Blog Hop & that makes this a special post. Especially after the 2 days of migraines I've had, then of course the meds make you sleepy so it doesn't leave a lot of time to be productive. I did just manage to finish a card so thought I'd post real quick before trying to go back to bed, so forgive me if I don't make sense (LOL!)
The theme for this month's blog hop is CELEBRATE THE NEW. Anything either new to the catalog or new to us. So I decided to use the new Watercolor Wings Stamp Set, this is the one set I knew I would get when we were able to order from the catalog. For the butterflies, I went with the color combo of Pool Party, Bermuda Bay & Island Indigo stamped on Whisper White Card Stock, then cut them out using the Big Shot & both the Bold Butterfly & Butterfly Framelits. For the next layer I used the new Brick Wall TIEF on Whisper White Card Stock. However, I wanted it to look more like brick so I used my Sponge Daubers to add some Cajun Craze & Early Espresso Ink to the paper. I think it turned out pretty well, although I have to use a lighter touch starting out so as not to add circles shadows to it. How do you think I did? The sentiment is also from the same set & I used Early Espresso Ink for it. All of this was added to a Whisper White Card Stock base.

Stop on by to the VC Rocks Blog to find out what the other ladies made. I'm sure you'll find quite a few ideas!

~Enjoy
